CAVIAR IN REAL SIZE
Each type of caviar has its own distinctive features that are easy to remember.
The size of salmon caviar depends on the fish itself, and is described in more detail below.
Medium size 3-5 mm. Classic orange color. The most popular type of red caviar. Versatile flavor.
Chum salmon caviar is from 5-6 mm to 9 mm in size. Royal caviar due to its soft creamy taste. Bright orange color.
Small strong eggs up to 3 mm. Rich red color. A tangy flavor with a subtle bitterness. Fresh caviar may not even have a bitterness.
Dark red or burgundy color. The diameter of the eggs is about 4 mm. Peculiar taste, noble bitter.
The largest, up to 7 mm in size. Bright red. Soft and slightly tart flavor.
Eggs of medium hardness 2-3 mm in size with a salty taste and a slight bitterness. Dark yellow or bright red.
